Overall, how satisfied are you with your major education?

It was a wonderful major, and I am completely satisfied. (E.R.)

Very. (E.O.)

Extremely! I loved everything about the program. (J.M.)

I am extremely happy with how the Study of Religion program prepared me for graduate school and provided me with a comprehensive, well balanced education. (A.U.)

It's unfortunate I have enough credits to graduate because there are still classes I want to take. I greatly appreciate the flexibility the Study of Religion combined with Muir College afforded me. [The] efforts by professors in my major spent exposing the nuance, the details in the text, has given new light to old assumptions and demonstrated continuing themes across time and boundaries. So thanks, good job y'all. (P.T.)

I am very satisfied with my major education in the Study of Religion. I do wish that there was more time and I was able to take more classes. (S.H.)

What would you say to a UCSD student who is thinking of majoring in Religion?

I would recommend at least participating in the minor if not the major/possibly a double major i.e. history, PS. (J.M.)

Go for it! I actually recommend this major quite frequently. (E.R.)

I would advise them to take a few classes the Study of Religion Program offers and if they like them, then declare their major as Religion. (A.U.)

I was looking at a two-year college "associate's" program last night out of curiosity. It was so rigid and structured I'd never make it two semesters. So, despite some initial doubt, I'm really glad the Program at UCSD allows students to pick and choose from other departments. (P.T.)

I would definitely encourage him/her to major in religion but to also take on another major or minor to complement the field. (S.H.)

It is double major friendly and intellectually stimulating. (E.O.)

What are your long-term plans for a career or occupation?

I am going to attend law school. (E.R.)

Graduate school and Navy Chaplain Corps. (J.M.)

PhD in Classical Archaeology. (E.O.)

I am deciding between continuing my studies in science at Grad School, or getting a masters in the Study of Religion or teaching one of the two subjects. (S.H.)

Obtain my Th.D. in Comparative Religion or Islamic Studies and teach classes at a university pertaining to Islamic or Judaic Studies. (A.U.)
